One last walk-through

Mike & I took the kids up to New Hartford for one last walk-through of Mom & Dad's old house. Neither Mike nor I had been there since we'd cleaned up last summer after the flood. I wasn't sure how the kids would react. Brian wouldn't remember it, but MaryClaire did. She was very brave. She really wanted to see where my old room was. The only other thing she told me was a story about how before Brian was born she got to stay at this house with Grandma & Grandpa without me & she got to sit on the floor in the living room & watch tv & eat cake from a plate with Grandpa! :)

In the kitchen standing where the oven used to be!

Mike & Brian by the yucky bathroom tub!

Brian by the brick wall

Peeking through Grandma & Granpa's old closet!

Mike is so sentimental. He wanted one last picture in front of these doors!

Here we are in Mommy's old bedroom!

Those steps were a LOT easier back in the day before I was 8 months preggo!

Hangin' on the porch with Grandpa.

Were you a little sad going through your parent's old house one more time? It had been a VERY long time since I have been there, but I totally remember the kitchen:)

I wasn't sad at all... the most recent memories I have of that house aren't so great. Mike was the one who wanted to go, I could've done without!!
